CASA GRANDE

Last Saturday I was privileged enough to have my gracious friend Stephanie "sign up" to take me out to lunch. Note, this would be my first outing after my surgery. For those of you that don't know Stephanie, she had been a friend since we were young girls and I love her like sister. Also note worthy, she is like 5'4" and 100 lbs.

Stephanie comes over around 1:30 and we hang out and talk a bit about what we want to do. We decided to go get lunch and maybe a mani/pedi. Sounds simple enough right? Right. So off we go....well hold on a min....

I get my purse, and sunglasses and realize I have no F-ing idea how to close down my wheel chair. I was not too confident on crutches at that point and there is no way I wanted to crutch my ass all over Atlanta in this god forsaken heat wave....so it took us some time but us we finally figured it out. That would seem to be the hard part...but just wait.

SO to get out of my mom's house there are three little steps that I had to scoot my ass down one by one, on a towel mind you....it was blazing hot. Then somehow I was able to grab on to "twiggy's" arm and lift my ass up. Then I wheel it to the car. Finally in the car, I help Stephanie to hoist the chair into the backseat of my ride and that was a headache in itself. We are pouring sweat by now and blasting the AC as we drive down Lindbergh.

We get to Casa Grande and find a spot....getting out of the car was a bit easier. Finally Stephanie and I get to the table and sit down, well I was already seated...wink wink. ;) Lunch was great and if you ever go you should try the flauta dinner....very good.

Getting back in the car we felt like champs.....we had that shit on lock....haha. Stephanie drove me home and helped my cripple ass back in the house. It was a great time but then Stephanie turned to me and said "I gota go take a shower.....screw the mani/pedi." HAHA. We had sweat our asses off! But nonetheless I was sooo super happy to have ventured out. Thank you Stephanie...love ya bitch!
